Welcome to the Site of the Master and Doctoral Program (PhD) in Intelligent and Adaptable Software Systems. The Master and PhD Program in Intelligent and Adaptable Software Systems begun in the 2009/2010 course year and is both a continuation and a replacement for the PhD Program in Advanced Technologies for Intelligent Software Development offered by the Computer Science Department at the University of Vigo. This older Program reach the Quality Mention for the 2008/10 and 2010/12 periods. This mention is a prestigious Accreditation of Quality Assurance given by the Spanish Ministry of Education for doctoral programs.
In the last years Vigo Uniersity has provided in an uninterrupted way their Doctoral Program in Advanced Technologies for the Development of Intelligent Software (http://posgrado.ei.uvigo.es/tadsi) This program has provided to the society competent researchers on the Information Technologies and Communications, especially in those subjects directly related to the application of artificial Intelligence's techniques and technologies on the development of advanced software, intelligent and adaptable. This has enabled students of these studies dealing with guarantee the solution of complex research tasks and an advanced development in their schools and businesses.
This doctoral program received the Quality Label in the last call made by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and has been followed in recent years, for students from regional and national environment, professors and researchers from universities and research centers from Portugal and from Latin American countries, and a growing number of professionals employed in research departments in enterprise environments. At this time, the contents of the program have been consolidated around the research activities of the active research groups in the program that are mainly integrated at the Computer Science Department of the Vigo University (in particular those attached to the Higher School on Computer Engineering on the Ourense Campus).
The Master and PhD. Program on Intelligent and Adaptable Software System is intended for any student who possess a university degree in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and who wants training for the professional or research training in the field of Intelligent and Adaptable Software Systems. Both the Master and the Doctoral programs are designed to meet the requirements outlined by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) program. The Master degree, which is an integral part of the doctoral program, consists of 60 ECTS credits.
The Master's degree program provides the option to study either Full-time (one academic year) or Part-time (two academic years). Through flexible on- and off- campus learning, the program is designed to accomodate the diverse requirements of our student's professional life. Classes shall be held at the Engineering School of Informatics, University of Vigo at the Ourense campus. The Master has been positively verified by the National Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the approved report can be found HERE.
